Go Kukoo

Head down to Aloha this Saturday for the latest Kukoo vintage fair, showing off the best of Liverpool craft talent.

There’s another Kukoo vintage fair this weekend in the extraordinary - and, we think, fitting - surroundings of kerrayzee Hawaiian cocktail bar Aloha.

Kukoo is not-for-profit fair designed to showcase the best of Liverpool’s local creative talent and independent sellers - and in the laid-back environs of Aloha with discounted beverages on tap this isn’t exactly wicker baskets and stodgy Victoria sponge territory.

Entry is free all afternoon, from midday and will feature cut-price cocktails and home-made sweet and savoury cakes along the various crafts on display.

And what craft. Vintage clothing and accessories, handmade jewellery, recycled crafts and a vintage 40s/50s hair-up service.

Featured stalls will include (deep breath) south Liverpool vintage clothing hang-out geek; ladies’ clothing, accessories and jewellery from LoveJo Vintage; reworked vintage jewellery and retro underwear from All About Eve; kitsch handmade polymer jewellery from PinkAngel Designs; handmade jewellery and accessories from Poppy Love; ladies’ vintage clothing from Clothes Peg Vintage and pop art, greetings cards and tattoo-inspired jewellery from Voodooville.

Gladstone Mag, a brand new quarterly promising to cover goings on in on burlesque, tattoo and music will also be present.

Ours is a slippery nipple. And we’ll want a drink too.
