Picture This: Untitled by Jen Allanson

This week's image, selected by Sam Bytheway, brings back fond memories of the Everyman Bistro

I had a great time at this year’s Light Night but there was a point, after walking right round the candlelit labyrinth in the rain, when the big gap on Hope Street caught my eye and I found myself pining for the Everyman Bistro.

Which makes this gorgeous shot, taken during Light Night a year ago, all the more poignant. Jen says:

“I knew it was the last time I’d be in the Bistro before it closed. I wanted to capture something of its magic for posterity. I like this image because it reminds me that its the people that make a place special.”
