Radar: Protein Dance Company

Mapping out the world of texts and tweets with the ultimate smart mobile app: the human body. Protein Dance Company promise to introduce us to a few new moves this month...

Dance is a language you have to learn a little before you can really engage with. But some ensembles make it easier than others. Award winning crew, Protein Dance Company bring their frenetic, gymnastic choreography to Knowsley this month with their latest production: LOL (Lots of Love).

Sure, we admit it: initially we LOLed at the trailer - there are some moves there that we’ve been known to pull at Chibuku when we’ve mixed our drinks a little too recklessly (especially that bit the fella does 38 seconds in). But away from the twitches and body popping shapes there’s more subtle beauty, danger and imagination than you’ll get in Street Dance 2. That’s a given. The troupe are also conducting workshops for local schools on Thursday March 29 and a schools matinee performance on Friday March 30 at 1.30pm.
