If you’ve any passing interest in film, you’ll have heard of Harmony Korine. Sitting somewhere between genius director and frustrating blag artist, Korine’s been responsible for some of the most interesting movies of the past 20 years - the seminal ‘Kids’ and ‘Gummo’ being his most coveted.

His latest jaunt into full-length movie making is the divisive ‘Trash Humpers’ - recorded and edited on VHS, strung together on a minimal budget and with basically zero narrative, it’s felt the wrath of critics and film buffs alike. One movie journo went as far as saying it was “like wiping your eyeballs with shit”. We said the same about Juno though, to be fair.

Anyway, if you’re not on the other side of town drinking gin at Pride, you can find out for yourself at Wolstenhome Creative Space on Saturday. They’ll be screening the movie via VHS tape onto loads of knackered old TVs, and the charmingly named Dead Dad and Pariah Quarey will be playing some suitably weird tunes afterwards.
