Win Drums Tickets

Win a pair of tickets to see The Drums, playing the O2 Academy as part of Liverpool Music Week.

Liverpool Music Week is upon us. And we’re gonna be very tired by the end of November (yeah, that’s one helluva long week). Still, we’ll be sated. This year’s line up’s the strongest yet. And, tomorrow, NYC’sfinest, The Drums, hit town.

Incubated in the musical melting pot that is Brooklyn, The Drum’s pitch-perfect stew of indie pop sensibility, soaring hooks and shimmering reverb made grown music journalists drool from Williamsburg to Warrington.

If you had a band crush last year, chances are it was with The XX or these guys. So it’s time to say hello to your favourite new band, believe the hype, and welcome The Drums.

From sure-fire set opener, and lead-off single, ‘Best Friend’, to the refrain-rush of ’Me And The Moon’ with its baying synths and agit percussion, this looks set to be a defining moment in a month of madness.
Happy sad pop. Shimmering guitars. Distortion. Synths. It’ll be like the Eighties, but with far better hair.
