Radar: Speakeasy at The Kazimier

The energetic Sheelanagig leave the festival fields behind to blast through Liverpool at Speakeasy. Hold onto your hats...

The organisers of Speakeasy Liverpool welcome you with open arms and transport you back to the heyday of live music, sharp dressing and fleet-footed dancing.

Onto their seventh event at the Kazimier - and fast-approaching their second birthday - they have a really lively bunch on hand to help warm those dark evenings.

Sheelanagig bring a captivating live show that has blown crowds away at many of the UK’s finest festivals and they are a regular headliner on the Chai Wallahs stages,” said the organisers of their latest night.

“They roll together a mixture of phenomenal live musicianship, street theatre, acrobatics and comedy that breaks the mould of live performance. We are very excited to be bringing these guys to Liverpool and the Kazimier.”

They will be supported by the Long Finger Bandits; are fresh from a successful European tour. DJ Benny Maths will be in attendance with his seemingly bottomless bag of records.

Meanwhile live hoop, contact ball and juggling will be courtesy of Kay and Dustin and The Chicken Brothers are sure to get tail feathers shaking late into the night.

If this weren’t enough The Mersey Swing teachers return to lead a pre-show dance class to show you just the right moves to have you cutting a rug!

Review: Bravo Figaro!

— A very different kind of show from Mark Thomas is a beautiful piece of work that doesn't patronise his father's illness, not ignore his frailties, as they connect over a love of opera.
