Radar: Rural Disco

Higher production values, but the same great musical taste: welcome to everisland's Rural Disco. And win tickets too.

everisland are bringing us a yet another imaginative and inspired affair this month, with a line-up boasting terrific live acts, numerous local special guests and plenty of surprises in store. With their first show for over a year, Wave Machines headline the night, and after hearing their latest single, ‘Ill Fit’, we’re sure excited (are they over the mask thing? Hope so).

Off the back of a thrilling single from The Tea Street Band, fresh music imminent from Coffee & Cakes For Funerals, a stirring new album by Dogtanion and the premier showing of Night Class, this is sure to be a night of firsts. The first time we’ll get to rave to ‘Disco Lights’, our first impressions of two promising new acts, and the first time we can really move to Wave Machine’s new material.

As always, expect something a little different, something a little unusual, and something undoubtedly enjoyable.

The night begins at 7pm with specially edited and curated visual pieces by Andrew Ellis/Samizdat. We hear that the first 20 attendees will get their hands on a free custom-made everisland tote bag, and be able to sample an autumnal cocktail that is only available for the first hour.

They have also gifted us a pair of free tickets and an everisland bag. To win simply like this Sevenstreets post on facebook and the winner will be announced on Saturday.

Our picks

Radar: Northern Dance, at Unity

SOME of the most interesting and innovative dance work being created by northern artists will be showcased at the Unity Theatre next week, as Northern Dance heads to town.

Radar: Designival at Camp and Furnace

A design festival featuring a juicy head to head with two of the world's most influential - and opinionated - designers. Sounds like the best possible way to spend two days in November to us.

Radar: Lindstrøm at Kazimier

Norwegian electronica of the top drawer variety. Lindstrom is in town next month. And he's a new album named after his favourite foods. Tasty, tasty. He's very very tasty.

Radar: Bastille, at Stanley Theatre

Neo synth pop of the highest order - welcome Bastille, heading Liverpool-wards in a couple of weeks.
