Radar: North By Northwest

One day, a shed-load of the best local bands. Get up town to the Olympia for this top ranking celebration of Liverpool talent now.

Liverpool’s grand Olympia is centre stage for the first ever North By Northwest event, celebrating the best of Liverpool and Merseyside music now.

“The aim is to create one grand night with an invite extended to all to celebrate the massive surge of creativity in our hometown,” they tell us, “There’s amazing things happening in every corner of the city and its surroundings, and new talent everywhere you look.”

We can’t argue with that. Nor with the line-up NXNW has gathered together, for one night only.

On Saturday 10th November The Tea Street Band, The Hummingbirds, By The Sea, The Red Suns,(newly billed) The Sundowners, Cold Shoulder, Broken Men, The Loud, Dead Dukes, Luke Fenlon (Sugermen), Midnight Playground, The Dead Velvets, DJ Sets from The Coral and more special guests will be announced.

There’s even a vintage clothing fair hosted by the wonderful Pillbox Vintage people.
