Radar: Howler at Kazimier

One of the best US imports of the year, Howler bring their supercharged indie rock to the Kazimier this week. And we've got tickets to win...

Who: Celebratory, stripped back and spine tinging guitar rock courtesy of Minneapolis’ Howler is heading this way, Thursday.

Howler play The Kazimier this week for the rest of us to decide whether their ‘new Strokes’ moniker is a) justified or, b) unfair. We’d say they were a bit looser. A bit dirtier. In other words quite a bit better (and a bit Vaccines ish). Whatever, they’re a band firing on all perky young cylinders now, and, supported by the ever excellent Hooded Fang - their Canadian cousins - and fIN, this should be a sweaty late Spring treat. And much better May Day exercise than swinging round a pole wearing bells on your Uggs. Or maybe that’s just us.

Win: We’ve got two pairs of tickets to win. Simply retweet or like us on Facebook. Because we like that. And we’ll let you know by end of play Weds.

Where:

Thursday 3 May
Kazimier, Wolstenholme Sq
Liverpool
Tickets £8
