Radar: Acoustic Air Raid

Prepare for a Sunday afternoon in church, in the company of some cosmic wonder, and pastoral English folk. What could be better? A bit of sun, perhaps...

Those surefooted Harvest Sun guys are going back to their roots next week, for this year’s hootenanny in the bombed-out church, Acoustic Air Raid. Expect the finest blend of Americana, Balearic, Space Rock and Blissed out West-Coast beats under the stars (clouds/lightening/delete as appropriate).

Expect pastoral summer folk from Molly Jones & The Coral’s Lee Southall, and a rare full band show from Torn Sail - fronted by Huw Costin, ex from psychedelic rockers Earth The Californian Love Dream.

“Torn Sail rose from the ashes of The Cold Light of Day, put together by Richard Warren AKA Echoboy in 2008,” says Tom from Harvest Sun. “When Warren quit to go solo a year later, the band locked themselves in the studio to record thier debut album. It promises to be a beautiful, laconic experience.”

Galactic troubadours Professor Yaffle, John Stammers, Wilson Minds‘ soul-infused alt rock, and the Cafe Del Lar DJ’s and you’re looking at a summer Sunday church service you won’t want to miss.

Acoustic Air Raid

Review: Bravo Figaro!

— A very different kind of show from Mark Thomas is a beautiful piece of work that doesn't patronise his father's illness, not ignore his frailties, as they connect over a love of opera.
