Now Playing: Two Sunsets

Summery goodness in the bleak midwinter. Take a listen to Two Sunsets...

If you need us, we’ll be letting the new single by Two Sunsets wash over us til Spring arrives. For this way lies a little slice of bucolic west-coast beauty. Yeah, the coast in question might only be Crosby, but when it catches the light it could be, heck, West Kirby.

Two Sunsets (aka Phil Bridges and Sean Butler) create lush, echo-drenched pop soundscapes, where harmonies, driving percussion and sequencers collide to create the soundtrack to an Instagram take on life. And we don’t think it’s just us, but there’s something of the John Lennon about their way with a chord progression. And then again, it sounds like the best Australian pop, a la Midnight Juggernauts. In other words, we approve wholeheartedly.

The single’s out next month on The Great Pop Supplement - check out the Freakbeat Films-made video and top up your SPF 15…
