Music Lessons: Barberos

We continue our three minute guides to Liverpool's music scene, with the lycra-toting troubadours, Barberos.

Who are they?

Playing migraine-math-noise dressed in full body lycra suits, Barberos are both the roughest and yet smoothest band in Liverpool right now.

Why we approve

Barberos are a trio that sound like an apocalyptic orchestra. Mercilessly percussive, they pay little heed to neither melody nor convention, favouring awkward time signatures and aural abrasion.

Sound bite

“The trio deliver an infused, skin crawling array of sounds that will either permeate your soul or send you screaming discordantly for the off button”. - Jimbo Walsh, grumpyrocker.co.uk
