Who are they?

Afternaut is Liverpool based musician Adam Rowley. A sound designer by day, Rowley has worked on dozens of projects including documentaries and video games but at night he moonlights as a techno journeyman.

Why we approve

Having secured a number of quality support slots in 2012 including Beak>, Labyrinth Ear and Walls, Afternaut is a name that is cropping up everywhere. Eschewing garish bass pressure drops for a more considered sound, Rowley manages to simultaneously avoid cynical body movers and improvisational self indulgence to forge his own path in search of immersive electronic soundscapes.
