Anyone who’s seen Metronomy live (and SevenStreets fondly remembers their blistering set at Alma de Cuba couple of Sound Cities ago) knows this to be true: electronic music doesn’t have to be dour, soaked in seriousness, or played out by robots with teutonic trousers and fierce hairdos. Nope, Metronomy are the funnest thing since Gary Numan’s hairpiece. And with their best work - the joyous summer rush of The English Riviera - still on heavy rotation, the announcement of a gig at Kazimier is just about the perfect antidote to another rained out Bank Holiday. Trust us, indietronica has a heart, and it beats to Metronomy.
