It’s Folk, But Not As We Know It

Folktronica firebrands, Tunng, to play Liverpool: get the ciders in.

Barnstorming folk experimentalists, Tunng, are set to shake the Stanley theatre to its foundations when they bring their peculiar brew of electronica, acoustics, found sounds and meaty, looping rhythms to the city next month.

Freshly garlanded with awards, the band will be showcasing their recent -poppier and dancier - set of tunes ‘And Then We Saw Land’, but, as ever in Tunng land, you can expect a hefty slice of the WTF was that, too. Oh, and it’s presented by Bob Harris. Nice.

Tunng, Stanley Theatre, 18 July

Oxford Street, Liverpool
