Radar: Percy Gulliver’s Opening Party

The Shipping Forecast's newest shop-shaped addition celebrates this Saturday with a noisy, fun, multi-floor party...

Remember we told you a few weeks ago about Percy Gulliver’s Print Shop & Social? It’s been trading for a while, slowly but surely finding its feet in the ‘when did this get here?’ upstairs space in The Shipping Forecast. And now, it’s launching properly - in loud, spectacular fashion.

This Saturday’s their big opening party, and it takes over the entire Shipping Forecast to celebrate. Downstairs in The Hold, it’s riff city. There’s the utterly fantastic, critically acclaimed rock boys Hawk Eyes, playing alongside noisy veterens Humanfly. Local’uns Jazzhands and Avenging Force also attempt to blow your ears out.

Upstairs in Percy Gulliver’s, there’s a set from Serious Sam Barrett, while the main bar plays host to Bido Lito DJs, Abandon Silence DJs, Outfit DJs, AK47 24/7, James Binary and more. Basically, a lot of bloody DJs.

Best and most impressive of all, this massive knees-up is totally free. Get down and celebrate one of the city’s most exciting new retail start-ups.
