Biennial Radar: Bill Is Dead, WCS

Wolstenholme Creative Space’s Biennial has seen darkly mysterious dinner parties (with another Inhospitable Supper Club happening next week) and their in-situ installation, Inhospitable Landscape (the circular saws were still buzzing the day before they were due to launch, when SevenStreets popped round for tea), this week sees the mighty talented writer/performer Craig Sinclair presenting another of his brazenly brilliant video pieces, Bill Is Dead: a one night only affair which includes a short video and performance piece centered around Bill, a socially excluded chap branded evil by society.

There’ll be three seperate screenings over the course of the evening, with a limited capacity of 16 seats per screening.

Inhospitable Landscape continues til November 25. Including several commissions from selected outside artists including The Hive Collective, the piece features a large-scale landscape that turns the tables on our relationship with inner and outer spaces, social and cultural landscapes - and the uncomfortable and inhospitable aspects of civilisation.

This Saturday, 27th, Order of Nothing is an exploratory WCS music commission created by SevenStreets favourites, Sun Drums as part of the Inhospitable Landscape installation.

At ten minutes long, it is a dark, aggressive and industrial electronic piece that explores themes of alienation, hostility and dystopia.

The next supper club is on November 2, in association with Leaf.
