Biennial Radar: Biennial 2012 discussion meet-ups

We’ve all been enjoying the Biennial this year, right? Good. But, as much as we love all the to-and-fro on social media about the individual exhibitions, events, and bits going on across town, it’s nothing compared to having a good ol’ natter about it.

Which is where the new, Biennial approved, discussion groups come in: every Sunday, starting on the 28th October, there’ll be free, open sessions for people to talk, discuss and listen to people’s ideas about individual exhibitions. The idea is that it’s open to everyone, regardless of how well versed you are about art. ‘Cos that’s the great thing about art: everyone can have an opinion. And it’s all valid.

These types of informal discussion groups are also a rather great way to make some new art-loving friends, regardless of if you’ve got an art history degree or just enjoy popping to the Walker every now and again. The group’s helmed by Art In Liverpool writers Andy Johnson and Shelagh Cullity, so you’ll be in good hands: it’s set to be enlightening, thought-provoking and inclusive. Just like this year’s Biennial.
