Bluecoat Display Centre - Part Time Outreach Officer

1 year initial contract, 3 days per week. £7,800 payable. Pro rata 13k full time.

A versatile, organised individual with good communication skills is required to work with the Bluecoat Display Centre’s core team to research and develop a programme of outreach with various partner organisations and local communities. The position holder will also initiate setting up and organising curatorial/special interest groups.

The projects will involve working with some of the UK’s leading contemporary craft practitioners, so experience of working within the contemporary crafts is essential. A knowledge of, and experience in, fund-raising would also be desirable. Good computer skills and an energetic flexible approach are needed, as are good people skills.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon Wednesday 25th April, with interviews taking place for the post on Thursday 3rd May.

It’s probabably not wise to allow comments on job ads. I’m only just resisting the urge to rant about the proliferation of part time work and pitiful wages paid in the arts sector.
