Topshop's charitable tour heads to Stanley Park bandstand

We always love checking out bands in interesting surroundings (no, we don’t mean standing by the gents in the Zanzibar), and this one sounds genuinely great: Topshop are doing a nationwide tour of bandstands, and bringing some pretty amazing acts along for the ride.

It’s all in association with the Teenage Cancer Trust, and the Liverpool leg sees the tour pull up at the ornate Isla Gladstone Conservatory in Stanley Park on the 19th June (there’s a bandstand outside, so it definitely counts).

Headlining are awesome noisy indie-pop gang Los Campesinos!, fresh from an appearance at Liverpool Sound City, and they’re joined by swoonsome folk songstress Blue Roses and hotly-tipped Mancunian teens Egyptian Hip Hop. T4’s queen of sarcasm Miquita Oliver is also doing a DJ set, as are locals Candi Payne and Abi Harding Out Of The Zutons. That’s actually her full name, you know.

Tickets are a tenner from the Church Street branch of Topshop, and the entire profits go towards the Teenage Cancer Trust. Hooray!
