Radar: Threshold Fundraiser

A full day of all that's great in Liverpool (and around) right now: it's exactly what a taster of Threshold should look like, and it's coming our way this month...

You can’t keep a good festival down. So, even the closure of its spiritual home, the CUC (and more on that space very soon, folks) didn’t stop the re-loaded Threshold Festival cement its place in our cultural calendar: choosing instead to spread its tendrils further and wider throughout the Baltic.

This month sees a mini fest pop up to ensure next year’s fest (due to take place in March 2013) is as essential as ever. It’ll take place at Camp and Furnace, and promises a taster of all that’s fun about Threshold.

So, expect a day and a night filled with We the Undersigned, Triphazard (pic), Thom Morecroft, the Science of The Lamps, Silent Cities, Audio Voyeur and much, much more.

There’ll be loads of goings on to suit all ages, there’s ‘The Littlepool Art Prize’ (Kiddies Art Comp) judged by Robyn Woolston (Liverpool Art Prize Winner 2012), Pillbox Vintage Pop Up, Vintage Clothing Swap Shop, Raffles, There’s Kids Craft Activities, Live Art, Yarn bombing, Have-a-Go Dj Tasters with CantmixWontmixShdntMixDontMix, LEGO, Great Food, Craft Beers, the Quizzy Rascals alternative trivia & Big Screen Retro Gaming with Super
Effective. There’ll be a kissing booth, splat the bat, coconut shy & all sorts of ridiculousness.

“This event is all about three things, Music, Fun & Raising Funds for Threshold 2013. We are really excited about the line-up & also eager to make our annual main event more open to families,” says Threshold main man, Chris Carney.
