Radar: Play Wednesdays at the Baltic

Get down to Camp and Furnace this Wednesday for a night of old school, new school and big screen games and fun. Weeknights have never been as much fun.

There’s another reason to beat a path Balticwards this week, as Play Wednesdays gears up to give our twitching thumbs the workout they crave, and our love of old-school analogue games a new lease of life. Although whether anyone can get the Mousetrap contraption to actually work is another matter altogether.

Play Wednesdays is a social games night, mashing up retro computer games and classic games in an evening of computers, consoles, board games and quizzes taking part in sociable little groups throughout Camp and Furnace.

Available at each event will be a wide selection of classic board games, with the opportunity to bring your own (we’re taking our Nordic version of Ticket to Ride. It’s ace - and we’ve still not completed our train track to Murmansk), allowing contestants to make each event their own unique individual experience; ensuring every week the event becomes a completely new experience.

And the big screen quiz (that’s a quiz, er, on a really big screen) offers cash prizes and Camp and Furnace vouchers. But you won’t win. Because we will.
