Radar: Indie Showcase and Software City

The Indie Showcase and Software City team up as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Conference.

Liverpool’s games and digital event, the Indie Showcase, returns next week to tie in with Software City and the Global Entrepreneurship Conference, kicking off this weekend.

So, what can we expect? Well, networking and all that stuff naturally. The Showcase is designed to provide independent digital and creative companies from around Liverpool with a forum to showcase their games, products and services.

That’s all well and good, but we’re hoping for a mass Streetfighter II face-off too. Or at least a spot of Ikaruga gamepad-bashing.

Anyway, here’s what founder of Software City and Industry Director at Liverpool Vision, Steve Smith, has to say: “The Indie Showcase is starting to establish itself as a powerful and growing network for the increasing number of independent companies in the games and digital sector in the area.

“Software City delegates will now be able to connect with these companies and experience their games and services in a relaxed environment at our after-show networking party.”

An official Indie Showcase iPad App will be launched at the event. With an expansion pack for Jet Set Willy on it. Only kidding.
