The Kazimier to open pop-up garden venue this summer

The city's best venue expands: The Kazimier's new garden is set to be your first port of call for outdoor shindigs this summer.

We were feeling a bit glum this morning, what with the rain and the wind and the rain. Oh, and the rain. But then an email popped into our inbox that brought us some brilliant news.

The Kazimier, everyone’s favourite converted dance hall that consistently hosts the best nights and gigs in the city, is set to expand. It’s only temporarily, but boy it sounds great.

Starting later this month, a space behind the Kazimier is set to morph into something wonderful: a 200 capacity pop-up garden, with its own entrance on Seel St. There’s a dedicated bar and kitchen there, and we’re promised workshops, film screenings, wine tasting and much more. They’ve got it until August, and it sounds like they’re going to make the most of it. Head over to the Garden’s website for details of their first set of events.

“There’s just no good outdoor drinking, relaxing and eating facilities in the city centre and we just had this land sitting there waiting for something to happen with it. So we took the initiative to use it” said our Kazimier mole.

We’ll be doing a full writeup on the Kazimier Garden once it officially opens, but for now? Start planning, and keeping your fingers crossed for something resembling sunshine. Don’t screw this one up for us, Mother Nature.
