Review

(Almost) where it all began, the Cavern is the Liverpool subterranean club where Brian Epstein first saw the Beatles. He couldn’t really miss them, these days, with its roster of tribute acts. That said, the Cavern’s back room hosts hundreds of gigs a year - with the majority showcasing local bands trying out their new material. DJs play hits from the past four decades at the weekend. Hosts the lively ‘Pop Overthrow’ pop music concert each May/June and Beatles Week events over August Bank Holiday weekend.
