We Have A Good Feeling About This

Film-making in Liverpool, dare we say it, tends towards the rather weighty. Our script for Scouse Stripper Zombies is still in development hell (wake up, BBC!) - despite an expression of interest from Jimmy Corkhill in playing the lead, Jake MacBeth.

But with any luck that’s about to change. I Have A Bad Feeling About This is a Star Wars-themed Liverpool-based production that’s close to going into production.

But only with your help. The guys behind it need to raise 10 grand by the end of March - if they don’t get the full whack by that time they don’t get anything.

They’re well on the way using innovative money-gathering platform Indiegogo but need (insert ‘using the Force’ reference in here - cheers, Ed).

Co-writer, co-director and co-producer (phew) Alan Donohoe explains: “I want to prove to the world that you don’t need to be a millionaire or live in Hollywood to make a movie.

And Donohoe is buying local too. We’re sure Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall would approve:

“Liverpool has enough character and cool locations to go against the big budget movies. 95% of our crew was made up by scousers, and it was shot on location in and around the burbs of Merseyside.”

Anyway, you can cadge a sneak peek at the trailer below. If you want to see more you’ll have to put your hand in your pocket. Any donations towards our Corkhill zombie apocalypse movie need to be given to us personally, in cash.
