Phat Phil’s Northern Soles

We wish Phat Phil Cooper all the best as he sets off on his coast to coast walk this weekend for Cancer Research UK

What are we gonna do when ‘Phat’ Phil Cooper transforms into the svelt, racing-snake adonis he’s in danger of becoming? The DJ/Sentric director/all round good egg is about to set off on a coast to coast walk this weekend (in this weather!). And that’s 190 miles from St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay, for those of you a little rusty on your Wainwrights.

“In a nutshell I turned 40 this year and wanted to do something to mark it. Plus my Dad lost his battle with cancer… so this seemed like the best way to do it,” says Phil of his walk, in aid of Cancer Research UK. “I have been amazed at peoples’ generosity, with donations coming from people I only know via Facebook!”

We’re sure SevenStreets readers are just as generous…So go on, donate here.

Go Phil. And may the wind be always at your back. PS: There’s an amazing fish and chip shop in Kirby Stephen.
