Win Chibuku Birthday Tickets

Never get invited to birthday parties? Here's your chance to get on the guest list at the biggest birthday bash in town this weekend, as Chibuku celebrates with a double night of shake shake and birthday cake.

There comes a point in all our lives when we casually stop mentioning our age in relation to upcoming birthdays. It doesn’t mean we don’t want to celebrate the event itself but the excitement of growing older diminishes greatly as we actually get, ya know, older…

We’re not suggesting that Chibuku have reached this tipping point (although we know how old Chibuku is and it makes us want to start mainlining botox given that we were there for the first birthday they held) but on close examination of their invite there is no indication to their maturity. You won’t have noticed this oversight though, as you’ll have been too blinded by the cast of literally thousands* that are involved in commemorating the occasion. You may also have been distracted by the announcement that it’s being held at The Masque for a final farewell to the iconic venue that helped shape the clubs name… oh yeah and it’s a two nighter, double header, Friday and Saturday party.

With all this to take in, their age is of least concern so we’ll focus on the important bits. Friday night sees the awesome Annie Mac return to the Theatre – a room that’s she previously heralded as being one of her favourite places to play – whilst upstairs Jaguar Skills and Dillinja play hosts in the Loft.

Saturday night is take over night as Rinse FM bring their entire crew down to round off over a decade of amazing memories in The Masque, with a who’s who of names including Skepta, Zinc, P Money, Kode 9, Newham Generals, Youngsta and Roska + Jamie George… *trails off exhaustedly*

Tickets are selling like cupcakes in the city but we’ve got two pairs to give away for each night. Simply RT or Like this post on Facebook. Share the love. That’s all we ask.
