Radar: Wet Paint clubnight, Liverpool O2 Academy

A new monthly club night featuring only the finest tunes - yeah, we've heard that before. But Wet Paint looks set to deliver on its promise...

A night for “queers, straights and everyone in between”. That’s us sorted then. And, when you look at Wet Paint’s spinning wheel of tunes (Sleigh Bells, Pavement, Robyn, DJ Shadow…) that’s ticked all our musical boxes too. What’s not to like?

Launching their electroclash, indie, alt, hop-hop tonic on the city next week, the boys and girls behind Wet Paint are promising a monthly mash up that’s messy, magical and refreshingly rule free. Launching on that oh-so-busy Pride weekend is a gamble, but if they stick to their musical guns, we’re there.

If you wanna go down for nowt, we’ve got two pairs of tickets to give away: drop us an email at [email protected] with the subject ‘Wet Paint’.

  1. I’m confused by the bit that reads, ‘Belle & Sebastian // The Spice Girls // Pavement’…

It’s looks like someone’s genius playlist on itunes. Always a few turkeys in there. Plus mine thinks Nick Drake and Queens of the Stone Age go well together…

On the whole though, looks good
