Radar: Bedrock Warehouse Party

The progressive house pioneer John Digweed is enjoying a bit of a, er, Renaissance. Catch him down Baltic way, with Friendly Fires, next February.

You wanna get down, deep deep down? Well, you can either get your East 17 CDs out of the loft, or red circle 9th of February next year, when the boys from Freeze set out their stall for another blistering year.

Freeze Bedrock Warehouse Party brings the one and only Mr John Digweed to warm up the Baltic. He’s not going anywhere for five hours. The Bedrock boy’s particular brew of trance-heavy house and infinite loops is likely to be a slow burner of a set, rather than a fierce techno workout - but he’s a master of his craft, so we expect great things.

He’s sharing the bill with Friendly Fires, who do a tasty line in DJing, and the mighty Greg Wilson. So. all in, that’s the best £16 you could spend around Valetine’s day. Those personalised Thornton’s eggs will have to wait. No harm there.
