Easter Comes Early

Cream's first event of 2011 promises to ensure the yearly pilgrimage to Parr Street is as potent as ever...

…well, it does in the Cream calendar this year, at least. Get set for March 5, when the mighty one rises again at Nation.

This year’s springtime special - their first event of the year - promises to be one big unholy mess. Or should that be mass?

The Main Room will be hosted by that one wise man from the east, the inimitable Laidback Luke, with his particular brand of groove-laden electro house. He’s joined by US electro/tech house producer, Wolfgang Gartner, who’s gritty beats are every bit as crunchy as Deadmau5 and co, and a Cream debut set by that Riverside MoFu, Sydney Samson.

All very well, you say - but it wouldn’t be cream without a big slice of trance, now, would it? So imagine our delight when we heard that the legendary Cream Courtyard will be hosted by everyone’s favourite trance trio Above & Beyond.

The Anjunabeats boys will be presiding over a very special three hour set, alongside Irish upstart John O’Callaghan whose fans include the likes of Armin van Buuren and who in 2008 scooped the award for ‘Best Producer’ and ‘Best DJ’ in the Irish Dance Music Awards.

Funkagenda, Chris Lake and Michael Woods will be taking control of the Annexe. Also joining them will be D.O.D.

Cream’s residents Gareth Wyn, Andy Mac, Anthony Probyn, Lee Ellis, Rob Harnetty and Jemmy also join the fun.

Make no mistake, this is gonna be a lockout. So make sure you book your Easter treats early this year. Wouldn’t want you to have (Cream) egg on your face, now, would we?
