Garlands takes over secret stately home

'Fairies at the Bottom of the Garden' sees the Liverpool clubbing institution transport a busload of party-goers to a knees-up with a difference...

If you’ve not had at least one ‘did that really happen?’ night at Garlands, then you’ve never properly had a night out in Liverpool. Sort it out. A special party next month looks like a pretty amazing way to introduce yourself.

On September 15th, five vintage double decker buses - manned by Garlands’ wonderful array of drag queens and beautiful freaks - will shift clubbers from Liverpool to a secret stately home, where they’ll party in a rather grand setting for four hours to resident DJs Dave Booth, Les Calvert & Lil’ Jon. Clubbers are encouraged to dress up in fancy dress to suit the venue’s vibe: a mystical, free love, hedonistic, hippy wonderland. We’ve no idea where the venue actually is, but we’re promised it’s a) impressive and b) about an hour away.

If that doesn’t sound fun enough (you’re clearly very hard to please), the convoy heads back to Garlands’ Eberle Street venue in the city centre for an even bigger afterparty at midnight. Sounds ace, right? There’s 400 tickets available - £25, including all travel. But, sadly, not that bleary-eyed taxi home at 5am the next morning.

Fairies at the Bottom of the Garden
September 15th, secret location
7 - 11pm (leaving 6pm from Garlands, returning for 12am)
£25, tickets available from Garlands
