Park Life

Gorgeous images of Liverpool’s parks and green spaces are now on display at Tate Liverpool. They’ve been selected from the hundreds of entries received in the annual Parks Photography competition and are being exhibited in the Community Arts Showcase Gallery as part of the competition’s association with the ‘Our Liverpool Landscape Project’, an off-shoot of the Turner Monet Twombly exhibition.

On show is Keri McLean’s photograph “Sunset Over the Mersey” which is the competition’s overall winner and the winner in the ‘Park Landscapes– my favourite view’ category.

The competition is staged by the Liverpool Parks Friends Forum - a forum for all the Friends of Parks groups in the city- to showcase the best of Liverpool’s 70-plus parks, gardens, recreation grounds, playgrounds and nature reserves.

The photographs are on show at Tate Liverpool until 19 October along with work produced by local communities in the Parks and Gardens project by environmental artist, Kerry Morrison in which environmental artworks were created to connect local people with their parks and green spaces.
