Emily Speed - Guardian Artist of the Week

Congratulations to Guardian Artist of the Week, Emily Speed.

Really chuffed to see Emily Speed chosen at the Guardian’s Artist of the Week this week. Of course, we spotted her, like, ages ago. We’ve long had a soft spot for Speed’s fragile exploration of the places we inhabit, and her delicate and beautiful art books. “Liverpool’s a great place to be an artist,” she says. “There is an energy and drive at a grass-roots level that makes the city a really exciting place to be.”

Emily’s currently exhibiting the wonderful Make Shift, at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, until September.

Well done, Emily!
