Call For Beauty: We Heart Needs You

When one of the best design and style sites is on the lookout for Liverpool-based creatives, you really ought to sit up and take notice...

We love locally made, but globally read site We Heart - and now it’s had a facelift we love it even more. The site positively oozes over with clever, sleek and inventive design: from grimy but gorgeous fashion stores, to brutalist-romantic hotels, curious curation to jaw-dropping illustration, with the world’s best designers, innovators, artists and makers.

But, here’s the thing: it does it with humour - which is something you’d think was barred from the pages of Elle Dec, or surgically removed from Monocle. Not We Heart. So when they call for North West based creators, designers and taste makers it’s time to take notice.

Editor James Davidson is keen to help promote the best of UK talent - especially those outside London - and showcase it on the site, which regularly wins plaudits for its curation of the very best stuff.

“I’m looking for anything creative,” Davidson tells SevenStrees. “It could be art and design, furniture, interiors, illustration… Crafts sure, but I’m really looking for cutting edge, not mumsy!”

Damn. There goes our Pinterest board full of suggestions. Nah, not really. We know loads of inspiring people: most of them are on this site. But, come on, who are we, like your agents? No. So you know what to do…
