pingliverpool

Remember last year when the city was infiltrated by loads of table tennis tables, dotted around, and free to play? Great wasn’t it? Well, it was so successful it’s being brought back for 2013. Hooray!

From next Monday (22nd July), there’ll be 25 tables popping up in various places across Liverpool. There’s a handful in the city centre - the Albert Dock, Bluecoat, University of Liverpool, and Liverpool ONE all feature, amongst others, perfect for a lunch break battle with Maureen from HR.

Rather brilliantly, once the tables disappear on 18th August there’ll be new, permanent, concrete tables introduced in various locations: parks and green spaces will get a futureproof pop-up ping ponger of their own. It’s all down to the excellent feedback of last year’s Ping! festival, which saw thousands and thousands of people making use of the tables. Get on down.
