Win: Tickets to East Village Arts Club opening weekend

MTA Records takes over the former Masque space this Friday with Chase and Status, and we've got tickets to give away. Stephanie Heneghan writes...

This weekend sees the launch of the East Village Arts Club – formally known as The Masque – and they’re kicking off proceedings with a very lively Friday night event, inviting down MTA Records to take over the building and christen the newly renovated building with the rumbling sound of Drum and Bass.

With a varied and exciting musical and cultural programme lined up for the coming months, it seems fitting to launch the new era with a duo that have a long relationship with one of the buildings most enduring residents, Chibuku. Chase and Status have risen through the DnB ranks and their energetic DJ sets are iconic throughout the scene. They’re joined by Radio One’s MistaJam, who will be armed with a spectrum of genres, spanning dubstep, grime, hip hop, D&B, dancehall and anything else he fancies throwing into the mix. The current label stars of MTA Records, Killsonik will be in attendance, as well as Kore who is making his Liverpool debut. Speaking of Liverpool, the city’s very own Session Faction will be joining in the party.

If you fancy kicking off the weekend – and christening the new East Village Arts Club - in a noisy fashion, we’ve got two pairs of tickets to give away. Just retweet this piece on Twitter to win, or ‘Like’ it on Facebook – we’ll pick the winners by 12pm on Friday. Good luck!
